Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader?

The answer, quite simply, is yes. My friend was on the show last night, and I got to be there cheering her on. Hopefully I'll have video of it to post sometime soon, but in the meantime, thanks to my friend Nikolas Schiller, I have this photo to share.

Amazing though, to see your friend win a half million dollars. The whole community she knows is freaking out. Even some paper back in St. Louis coverred the event, noting that she was on the show (and that I got to show my support). And you know me, I'm a whore for press, so here's the article for your viewing pleasure. As with most online articles, they don't last forever, so I'm including the actual text of the article below. Enjoy, and have a great friday!

Marquette grad to appear on TV Show
by Mary Shapiro

"Stephanie Wambach, a 2000 graduate of Marquette High School, will be a contestant on Fox TV's "Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader?" show in an episode that airs at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 28.

The show, hosted by Jeff Foxworthy, poses various grade-level questions to contestants, leading up to fifth-grade information. Contestants can answer for themselves or get help from a pool of fifth-graders.

Wambach attended grade school at Kehrs Mill Elementary School in Chesterfield and middle school at Crestview Middle School in Clarkson Valley -- both in the Rockwood School District - before attending college at the University of Indiana-Bloomington.

She now works in market research for St. Louis-based Maritz, Inc. from her home in California.

Likewise, Scott Towler, also a Rockwood graduate from the class of 2000, will be cheering Stephanie on from the audience in the episode."

Hope you all enjoyed the article, and thank for always checking in! Have a great weekend!
